Moog’s AC7257 slip ring has a through-bore model that provides power and signal communications and is designed for applications like packaging systems, machine tools, and work centers. The AC7257’s fiber brush technology does not require maintenance and can operate at speeds up to 1000 rpm. The unit is sealed for dust and light fluid splash, with IP65 and stainless steel housing available. In addition, it can log over 100,000 rotations with no loss of information. The ring and the brush contacts can operate in excess of 100,000,000 rotations. The AC7257 slip ring can be used in any electromechanical system that requires unrestrained, continuous rotation while transferring power and data from a stationary to a rotating device. The through-bore design offers flexibility in mounting or routing fluid and air lines.
