Freeaire Polar Power systems use cold outdoor temperatures

Freeaire’s commercial cooling and refrigeration systems harness cold, outdoor air (dubbed “polar power”) to achieve up to a 50% increase in efficiency. Freeaire systems typically achieve corporate ROI hurdles in five years, and often in as little as two years. By way of comparison, most solar photovoltaic technologies—perhaps the most well-known renewable power resource—have payback horizons well in excess of five years. Freeaire’s solutions revolve around the notion that the best energy savings is energy not used. The systems are designed to eliminate excess energy usage in any particular cooling application. This is accomplished through two means: use of cool outside air and use of a computerized control module that maximizes efficiency by operating each component of a conventional refrigeration system independently, only as much as needed. With these two approaches, the Freeaire system conserves energy regardless of geography.
