Bitzer's two-stage reciprocating compressors can be run with thermostatic expansion valves as well as environmentally friendly alternatives R448A and R449A. Tests have shown the technically improved compressors can be run perfectly with the two refrigerants—both with and without a liquid subcooler. Every model fits semi-hermetic two-stage compressor series with thermostatic expansion valves.
