Operability with existing and upgraded mechanical systems

Energy consumption has changed and so have the costs. University Hospital Authority and Trust (UHAT) partnered with Engineered Systems & Energy Solutions, Inc. (ES2) to develop a comprehensive energy strategy to reduce energy consumption and improve occupant comfort throughout their facilities 1.3 million square feet. Tangling of different HVAC control systems, pneumatic and DDC mechanical system control, inefficiencies were unrestrained. Through benchmarking and strategic energy auditing, together, ES2 and UHAT collaborated to optimize operations and maintenance procedures, and educate building occupants on daily energy conservation habits and has established a centralized automation control platform in Automated Logic’s WebCTRL.

Project Success

This comprehensive strategy reduced energy consumption by more than 20% in a single year across their facilities.
