Fluke’s 438-II is 3-phase power quality analyzer that provides frontline troubleshooting and long-term trending to keep equipment running. It uses innovative algorithms to analyze 3-phase power quality, torque, efficiency, and speed to determine system performance and detect overloaded conditions, eliminating the need for motor load sensors. The 438-II also provides analysis data for both the electrical and mechanical characteristics of the motor. Using proprietary algorithms, it measures the 3-phase current and voltage waveforms and compares them against rated specifications to calculate motor mechanical performance. The analyzer also provides measurements to determine a motor’s efficiency and mechanical power under operating load conditions.
