Belden Cordsets and Patch Cords

Belden added a rugged new line of Hirschmann Industrial Ethernet Cordsets and Patch Cords, manufactured using Belden’s patented Bonded-Pair technology. Bonded-Pair cables have individual insulated conductors bonded together along the longitudinal axis to assure uniform conductor-to-conductor spacing for maximum electrical integrity. Cables are also chemical- and temperature-resistant and incorporate rugged RJ45 or over molded M12 (IP67 rated) industrial connectors to ensure reliable performance in extreme or mission-critical environments.

Belden Fieldbus cable

Belden added temperature and use ratings and expanded multi-pair capabilities to its line of low capacitance DataBus Cables for FOUNDATION Fieldbus applications. The DataBus Cable line consists of PLTC/ITC-ER, PLTC and TC-ER versions that are designed to meet Fieldbus specification IEC 61158.2 (ISA/SP-50). Fieldbus is an all-digital, serial, two way communications protocol that standardizes interconnection of field devices at a communications rate of 31.25 kilobytes per second (Kb/s). DataBus cables offer superior electrical design and robust construction to ensure consistently reliable performance, Belden says. The cables also provide installation flexibility in diverse industrial environments – including outdoor installations and sites requiring multiple or extended cable runs.

Belden RS32 Switches

Belden added Hirschmann RS22 and RS32 Fast/Gigabit Ethernet Managed Switches to its OpenRail Switch product family. The new RS Series switches are available with Fast Ethernet ports, four (4) of which support Power over Ethernet (PoE). The uplink ports can be designated as RJ45 connectors as well as for any combination of optical fiber connectors, such as MTRJ, ST or SC. RJ45 or SFP ports (10/100/1000Base-TX). Recently introduced software helps Ethernet networks operate more efficiently: Belden new platform software: Connects multiple rings of Profinet, EtherNet/IP Ethernet protocols .

Belden IWLAN

Belden introduced Hirschmann industrial-grade Wireless LAN Access Points featuring IEEE 802.11n (draft 2.0) wireless interfaces. The new 802.11n wireless standard permits transfer rates similar to those achieved by a Fast Ethernet cable. Innovative MIMO (multiple input, multiple output) send and receive technology for wireless transmissions provides significantly longer reach, reliability and stability in both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency ranges, Belden says. Moreover, MIMO is particularly suitable for applications where typical industrial interferences must be expected, such as reflections. WLAN devices equipped with wireless interfaces in accordance with the older IEEE 802.11a/b/g/h standards can also benefit from the greater reach of the new access points.

Belden Solar Cables

Belden Solar Cables are designed to support renewable energy initiatives. The cables are UL Type PV approved (UL 4703 USE-2 Rated) for use as the interconnection wiring of grounded and ungrounded photovoltaic power systems (Section 630.31). Belden Solar Cables link together the solar panels found on solar farms, making the cables key to the transmission of electric energy from the solar panels to the transformers at the local energy storage substation and ultimately to the power grid and its commercial and residential electricity users, the company says.

Belden Industrial Ethernet Final

Belden added three new Bonded-Pair, shielded cables to its DataTuff family of Industrial Ethernet cables. Additions are Belden 7953A – an Ethernet/IP-compliant Cat 6 shielded cable (4-pair, 23 AWG) featuring solid bare copper conductor and overall Beldfoill Beldfoil shield & 85% TC Braid.

Belden VFD Cables

Two new Belden 2000 Volt VFD cable designs are Classic Design VFD Cables (14 to 2 AWG) with Beldfoil plus TC Braid Shield and Symmetrical Design Large AWG (1 to 4/0) with Spiral Copper Tape Shield. The 2000V UL 1277 Type TC-ER cables are UL rated for direct burial, feature black sunlight- and oil-resistant PVC jackets, and meet all applicable industry standards and specifications for VFD cables, company says.
