PEX tubing

04/30/2008

Alumicor PEX-Al-PEX tubing from Zurn Industries offers all the benefits of cross-linked polyethylene tubing, plus it holds its shape when it is bent. The tubing bends easily but then stays in place thanks to a layer of aluminum that is sandwiched between two layers of PEX. This layer not only gives PEX tubing an easy-to-handle, malleable characteristic, it also improves heat transfer and acts as an oxygen barrier, which helps protect the boiler and all other non-ferrous system components from corrosion.
