Tony Keane has been named interim executive director of the Construction Specifications Institute, Alexandria, Va. Keane will head CSI's national office during the search to replace Executive Director Greg Balestrero, who left in September. Keane joined CSI in 1995 as director of resource management.

Tony Keane has been named interim executive director of the Construction Specifications Institute , Alexandria, Va. Keane will head CSI's national office during the search to replace Executive Director Greg Balestrero, who left in September. Keane joined CSI in 1995 as director of resource management. He was promoted to deputy executive director in January 1999.

SmithGroup Inc. Senior VP Bob Colletta , AIA, has been elected to the Detroit-based company's national board of directors. Colletta currently works in operations and the office workplace studio in the company's Phoenix office. Also, the SmithGroup has promoted Mohamad Jaber , P.E., senior electrical engineer, and Dave Malvaso , senior plumbing designer, to associate.

A. Epstein and Sons International Inc. , Chicago, has named Michael Blumenthal executive VP and director of project management, and Scott Marker senior VP.

Ellerbe Becket , Minneapolis, has selected Peter Styx , AIA, to lead its technology, corporate and developer practices. Styx is a 19-year Ellerbe employee.

Richard Hermans , P.E., has been named senior project engineer of the Minneapolis-based Center for Energy and Environment's research and engineering department. He most recently was with Ellerbe Becket.
