Lead-acid battery tester is said to provide the user with 10-sec. battery testing, well-suited to large-scale battery applications such as for backup power. The handheld device tests both 12- and 24-volt batteries. The device can automatically save 40 tests and download to a printer or PC spreadsheet. For more about BZT1 from Astratec, click here .

Medium-voltage switchgear is metal-enclosed and front-accessible, and employs a highly integrated breaker and structure design to achieve 50% overall space savings. A self-powering trip unit eliminates the need for an external power source. The unit is UL-listed and rated for 5 kV and 15 kV; 600, 1,200 and 2,000 amps; and 25 and 40 kA. SF6 loadbreak switch is a three-phase, dead-front switch that employs a sealed and welded stainless tank design. Low-pressure SF6 gas is used for both insulating and interrupting media using a puffer contact system for quick arc extinction during loadbreaking operations. The switch can be configured for two, three and four switched ways and is available with 600-amp deadbreak bushings or 200-amp loadbreak bushings.
