Flow switch tester is said to provide a less-costly and more reliable means of fire sprinkler system alarm testing. As mandated by the NFPA 25, wet fire sprinkler system flow switches must be tested on a quarterly basis. The standard method of testing involves the actual discharge of water from an inspector’s test on each system. The tester performs quarterly flow switch tests through a simple key switch operation that reduces testing time and allows for multiple zone key-switches to be operated from one master. Ceiling-mount speakers and speaker strobes complement the manufacturer’s line of fire and life-safety products. The appliances feature patented Multi-Candela ceiling strobes with field selectable intensities of 15/30/75/95cd or the high intensity strobe with field selectable 115/177cd. Each product’s low-profile design also incorporates a speaker mounting plate for faster and easier installation as well as a built-in level adjustment feature and snap on cover with no visible mounting screws. Digital linear heat detection (LHD) product features lower resistance cable while maintaining the durability necessary for industrial markets. This new, lower-resistance wire allows for longer runs and increased design flexibility, which can save thousands in installation costs. Up to 10,000 lin. ft. of detection wire can run on each zone, in turn costing less than traditional systems. It can also be run on any approved fire alarm panel, which means no more proprietary panels needed. For more about ThermoCable from Safe Fire Detection, click here .
