New Products for Electrical Systems

Softstarters offer users a full set of knob-adjustable functions for starting and stopping 3- to 45-amp, three-phase motors, up to 600 volts AC, all in a compact package that mounts in small control panels and equipment enclosures. The product is available in three physical sizes, with widths from 1.77 in. to 2.13 in. For more about Model PSR from ABB, click here .

Delivery systems product guide highlights the manufacturer’s delivery systems, power devices, and voice, data and audio/video products. The 126-page guide includes metallic and nonmetallic raceway systems, floor boxes, pokethroughs and multi-connect recessed wall boxes. Bypass Isolation Transfer Switches offers one modular design featuring two shafts and a four pole frame architecture. A solid switches or overlapping switches neutral is available. It claims to have the industry's only true overlapping switches neutral technology as an available configuration. Short circuit capacity (withstand current ratings) has been increased to 35 ka at 480 volts, 65 ka at208/240 volts, all for three cycles, allowing for labeling to UL 1008 optional “any breaker” rating. High bay occupancy sensors offer an array of lenses and power/control modules for energy-saving occupancy-based switching of industrial fluorescent lighting fixtures. High bay sensors are designed for use in warehouses, manufacturing facilities and other high-ceiling applications. Passive infrared technology is employed to sense occupancy. Sensitivity and time delay controls are located on the front of the sensor for convenient adjustment. For more about lighting sensors from Watt Stopper/Legrand, click here .
