Merger, acquisition seminar scheduled

Morrissey Goodale’s Southern States M&A Seminar in Houston is a one-day seminar designed specifically for architecture and engineering (A/E) decision-makers who are interested in learning more about the merger and acquisition (M&A) marketplace – especially in the South – and deal pricing and structuring in the recovering economic environment. The event will be held on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at the St. Regis Houston.

This full-day educational seminar is loaded with up-to-date information on A/E M&A trends and topics with a focus on the Southern states of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Oklahoma.

Session topics will include an overview of mergers and acquisitions in the A/E industry with an emphasis on global and domestic trends with a special focus on the four core Southern states. There will also be a session on drivers of A/E M&A activity, and the inner workings of deal pricing and structuring. 

The facilitators for the event are Mick Morrissey, Mark Goodale, Neil Churman, and Nick Belitz.

Morrissey is the Managing Principal and co-founder of Morrissey Goodale. He has advised architecture, engineering, planning, and environmental consulting firms for more than 20 years. He writes and video blogs on industry mergers and acquisitions and is a frequent speaker at association and company events on industry and management topics. 

Goodale is a co-founder of Morrissey Goodale. He specializes in organizational development, strategic planning, M&A, marketing, and executive search, and is a trusted advisor and coach to dozens of industry executives. He is an author of numerous articles for industry magazines.

Churman works with architectural, engineering and environmental firms to deliver strategic business planning and financial advisory solutions. Churman has spent his entire career working in the A/E industry, both in engineering operations and corporate development roles. His experience has made him an expert in strategic planning, scenario modeling, market analysis, business plan development, and business process improvement.

Belitz is the Principal Consultant of Morrissey Goodale’s merger and acquisition practice in the firm’s Denver office. Belitz specializes in financial analysis, negotiations, deal structure, and strategic business analysis.
