Active Power, Austin Texas, received a U.S. patent for its thermal and compressed air storage (TACAS) technology behind the CoolAir product line.

Charlotte Pipe and Foundry, Charlotte, N.C., has been named the American Society of Plumbing Engineers’ Industry Award winner for 2006. The award was presented at the ASPE show held in Orlando, Fla. in October.

Pelco, Clovis, Calif., was recognized recently by the Edge organization at their 15th Anniversary Conference held in St. Louis, where Pelco received the Supplier Growth Award for exceeding Edge's annual goals for supplier growth.

Pentadyne, Chatsworth, Calif., manufacturer of energy storage systems using composite flywheel UPS technology, has been named a 2007 Technology Pioneer” by the World Economic Forum ( www.weforum.org ).

Schneider Electric North American Operating Division, Palatine, Ill., announced that Chris Curtis, president of Schneider Electric USA, has been honored as a pioneer of sales and marketing with a 2007 Lifetime Achievement Award from consulting firm Frost & Sullivan.
