Lee Technologies Joins Forces with APC-MGE; Greenheck wins hurricane certification; joint venture for chilled beams; and more.

Active Power, Austin, Texas, announced that The Carbon Trust has listed its CleanSource UPS on its Energy Technology Product List, part of the Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme. Active Power has also earned the privilege of now using the Energy Technology List (ETL) symbol.

Lee Technologies, Washington, D.C., and APC-MGE announced the formation of an industry alliance designed to serve the growing data center market. Lee Technologies will provide APC-MGE products and systems as part of its core offering.

ECAD, LLC, Columbus, Ohio, a new engineering consulting company, is offering on-site training courses for basic MicroStation and GEOPAK to other engineering firms in the Midwest.

Flowserve Pump Division, Fort Wayne, Ind., has named GE Motors, a GE Consumer & Industrial business, its 2006 “Supplier of the Year” for the second year in a row, and the second time in the eight years of the award. GE also received the award in 2005.

Greenheck, Schofield, Wis., announced that its Ultimate Steel Grease Fan (Model USGF) recently received Miami-Dade (Florida) Notice of Acceptance #07-0503.06 certifying that Model USGF passed stringent tests of its ability to withstand hurricane conditions.

Mestek, Inc., Westfield, Mass., and Dadanco Pty of Adelaide, Australia, have announced a joint venture to produce and market active chilled beams, induction units and induction diffusers for the North, Central and South American markets. Dadanco is a leading supplier of active chilled beams in Australia and has sold active chilled beam systems in many countries throughout the world.
