• Stulz-ATS, Frederick, Md., recently completed an agreement with Knurr , a global leader in electronic environments, to produce a high-performance (20 KW) cooled enclosure system designed for high density managed hosting applications.

• Severn Trent Services, Fort Washington, Pa., has been issued a U.S. patent for its reservoir management system (RMS), which is designed to control chlorine-related reservoir water quality and temperature uniformity in large water-containing reservoirs while reducing operational costs.

In other patent news, Siemens Building Technologies, Florham Park, N.J., has received a U.S. patent for device programmer and loop tester unit (DPU), a mechanism that allows installers to test and verify the correct connection of fire-panel devices as they are installed rather than waiting until the end of their installation to test the entire fire panel.

• Electro Industries/GaugeTech, Westbury, N.Y., has been awarded a contract from the United States General Services Administration, as of February 1, 2005. The company is listed under Schedule 056, Buildings and Building Materials/Industrial Services and Supplies.

• Emerson Climate Technologies, St. Louis, announced that its Copeland screw compressors has been optimized for use with the environmentally friendly refrigerant R-134a. The compressors are used in commercial air-conditioning applications such as in libraries, schools, office buildings and hospitals.

• Roper Industries, Inc., Duluth, Ga., a developer, manufacturer and marketer of wireless products for monitoring and control in security, sub-metering, temperature and other applications, has acquired Inovonics Wireless Corp., Louisville, Colo., maker of 900-MHz wireless products.

• MGE UPS Systems was recently honored with the selection of its Pulsar EX RT fuel-cell powered online UPS as a finalist in the power category of the EE Times ACE Awards Ultimate Products of the Year competition.
