The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO), Chicago, recently convened the inaugural meeting of its Green Technical Committee. The meeting launched IAPMO’s effort to make the Uniform Family of Codes more inclusive of sustainable practices and technologies and to develop the first green supplement for plumbing and mechanical codes. The supplement will serve as a repository for provisions, which integrate into the Uniform Codes and augment codes developed by other organizations.
