EMCOR Subsidiary CEO Receives Exceptional Service Award From ASHRAE

07/09/2010

William M. Dillard, CEO of Mechanical Services Inc. (MSI) has been honored by ASHRAE with an Exceptional Service Award for 2010. The award was established to recognize members who have served the organization faithfully and with exemplary effort. A mechanical contractor in central and southwest Florida, MSI is a subsidiary of EMCOR Group Inc.

“Being recognized by your peers is perhaps the greatest accolade one can achieve---I am greatly honored to be recognized with this award,” commented Mr. Dillard. “The work that ASHRAE does in support of the HVAC industry is critical. My involvement in the organization has enabled me to give back to the industry and has been extremely rewarding, both personally and professionally.”

Mr. Dillard has been an active member of ASHRAE for the last 36 years (since 1974). He previously served as chairman of ASHRAE’s Energy Management and Government Affairs committees, and recently as a member of the organization’s committee for High Performance Green Buildings, which is in the process of setting new sustainability standards. Mr. Dillard also played an important role in crafting the ASHRAE mission statement when he served on the Long-Range Planning Committee, and has led his chapter in individual contributions to research for the past 20 years. He also served as general chair of three ASHRAE Conferences hosted in Orlando 1994, 2005,, and 2010.
