With power outputs of 270 to 730 kW, the MTU engine series 1600 from Tognum is designed for power generation system, construction and industrial machinery, and rail vehicles. The diesel engine is available in in-line configuration with six cylinders and in V-configurations with 8, 10, and 12 cylinders.

The diesel engine is available in in-line configuration with six cylinders and in V-configurations with 8, 10, and 12 cylinders. The engine complies with exhaust specifications of EPA Tier 2 and EPA Tier 3.
