Cooling tower drive system


Replace gearbox and jack shaft installations with the VS1 cooling tower drive from Baldor. The drive system comes with optimal variable speed performance and reduced energy consumption. The power-dense product combines laminated finned-frame motor with permanent magnet salient pole rotor design that eliminates the need for right-angle gearbox maintenance and avoids issues with leaky gearboxes. Water ingress along the shaft is prevented with the use of a labyrinth-bearing isolator and flinger, while condensation drains relieve any moisture that may collect inside the motor. The drive uses sensor-less algorithms for smooth, low-speed operation and supports multiple protocols to communicate with most BAS. #7
