Camera and tablet convert any microscope into a videoscope

Titan Tool Supply, Inc. announces the introduction of its Titan Scopepad new ScopePad-200 camera and tablet computer to convert any microscope into a video microscope. Operators can view images from the microscope directly on the tablet screen and capture these images. Since the ScopePad-200 runs on the Android 2.2 platform, it has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g wireless capability, enabling users to share and email images.  

The new “all-in-one” ScopePad-200 is priced at $795.00 and consists of a 2 Megapixel CMOS sensor camera (1600 x 1200 resolution) attached to a 7-inch Android tablet with 800 x 460 resolution on a G sensor multi-point capacitance touch screen. It can be attached to any “C” mount adapter for trinocular microscopes or adapted to any stereo or monocular microscope with the addition of the Titan Tool EA-200 adapter for $135.00. The EA-200 adapter has a 0.5X lens and 23mm, 30mm and 30.5mm eye tube adapters to fit most standard microscope eye tubes, according to Titan Tool.

The new ScopePad-200 supports a variety of standard photo and video file formats, Titan Tool states, and can operate at a wide range of ambient temperatures from -22°F to 158°F (-30°C to 70°C). It has a 90° adjustable wide viewing angle, is powered by a rechargeable Li-Polymer battery, and features a built-in microphone and two built-in Class D digital power amplified speakers. The storage device 4G NandFlash support for external TF (microSD) card has a maximum capacity of 16GB.
