Unitronics is proud to introduce the latest addition to the UniStream line, a 15.6-in. human machine interface (HMI) panel. The Unistream15 is a color touchscreen with 1366 x 768-pixel resolution and 16 million (16M) colors. This new 15-in. model rounds out the UniStream line, which also includes 7- and 10-in. HMI panels.

The UniStream line results from more than 20 years of experience with PLC development, combined with new trends in automation, the company said. UniStream uses a powerful dual CPU, sleek HMI touch panels, and a variety of I/O options. The user can create a customized, all-in-one controller by snapping in the CPU and I/O modules to the HMI of choice. The UniStream gives OEMs and systems integrators a competitive edge, cutting costs, saving space, and significantly lowering programming time.

Predictive programming software

UniStream provides programmers and machine builders with one of the best user experiences on the market today, the company explained; intuitive Unitronics UniLogic studio software cuts programming time by 50%, by predicting the programmer’s intentions and reusing written code. Programmers build a library of user-defined function blocks and HMI screens that can be imported to new projects or shared with other programmers. The software’s predictive capabilities save a significant amount of time defining I/O points, PIDs, and other functions. Features like drag and drop, automatic line creation, and reuse options for existing code make programming quick and easy.

UniStream supports RS485, CANopen, UniCAN, and Modbus (serial and Ethernet). It can adapt to third-party protocols; the USB and serial ports support external devices, including modems, printers, barcode readers, and others.

The company provides software and technical support for free.
