Weeks is an associate with a specialty in energy and building ecology in Arup’s San Francisco office. Her projects span from individual buildings to master plans and research, and her clients include many of the world’s most prominent tech companies and retailers, as well as some of the most progressive developers, cities, and universities. In addition to projects with impacts on a grand scale, she delights in community projects, such as EPACenter Arts, where her water strategy is currently helping ensure the viability of a much-needed youth art center in an economically disadvantaged community. She is supporting the Arup team to aim high with LEED Platinum certification, fossil fuel elimination, and healthy materials goals. Weeks plays several leadership roles within Arup. She started Arup San Francisco’s net positive design initiative and has championed it for several years. She also is part of the energy and sustainability team’s leadership. Weeks has a particular passion for restoring urban ecosystems and connecting people to them, and she works toward this goal both at work—initiating green roof and wall consulting as a new business area in her office—and through her volunteer work. Weeks cares deeply about connecting people to nature by preserving and restoring urban ecosystems. To expand her impact in this area, she began volunteering as a board member of local nonprofit Nature in the City. She also volunteers as a board member of the Green Infrastructure Foundation, working to promote living green infrastructure adoption in cities for its multiple environmental, social, and economic benefits. Weeks enjoys spending the time her flexible schedule affords her with her two daughters. They often can be found splashing around together in the creeks and waves of the North Bay area.
