Chow began his career at ccrd, now WSP l Parsons Brinckerhoff, after earning his engineering degree in 2008. In 2009, he received LEED AP BD+C certification, followed by becoming a licensed professional mechanical engineer in 2012 and being promoted to associate in 2014. His responsibilities at WSP l Parsons Brinckerhoff include mechanical engineering design, project management, construction administration, and quality control. Chow has been involved in the design of a variety of projects including greenfield health care facilities, department renovations and expansions, central plant upgrades, medical office buildings, and parking garages. His professional portfolio includes several extremely high-profile jobs, such as the first stand-alone children's hospital in Louisiana, which is nearing the end of design. As lead mechanical engineer on the project, he has been trusted with providing a central plant design that meets the owner's requirements for redundancy and ease of operation while maintaining budget constraints. In addition, he is guiding a team of mechanical designers to produce the remaining portions of the overall project, as well as day-to-day coordination with the architect and other consultants. For several years, Chow has been the team leader for Canstruction, which has brought in a significant amount of canned food for the North Texas Food Bank. He also has participated in cooking meals at the Dallas Ronald McDonald house and countless other civic-engagement activities. Chow and his wife, Emily, enjoy traveling and have been to Australia, England, Ireland, and Hawaii. He also has a passion for cooking and enjoys skiing.
