Vedvik is a project manager with experience in health care, education, commercial, government, athletic, and performing arts projects. His electrical engineering experience includes architectural lighting design, electrical power distribution, emergency power system design, and fire alarm system design. His background allows him to combine his experience in electronics with his passion for acoustics. After earning his electrical engineering degree-with dual emphases in digital and analog circuit design and power systems-Vedvik joined KJWW Engineering Consultants in 2005 and instantly felt at home. By his second year at the firm, he was a lead engineer on many projects and mentoring a new engineer in addition to staff from the company's international offices. Vedvik collaborates with the design team to determine optimal architectural acoustical finishes, design voice notification systems, and prevent mechanical noise. He has helped develop in-house software tools and custom acoustics test equipment. His skills have been particularly critical in the development and implementation of field testing-searching for and solving noise problems and performing field measurements of equipment-a new engineering task for KJWW. Vedvik is a successful and detail-oriented project manager with good working relationships with owners, clients, users, contractors, and design staff. He participates in career days at local middle schools and colleges, sits on the College of EMS advisory board for the University of Wisconsin - Platteville, and also volunteers at local community science, technology, engineering, and math STEM for kids' events by leading LEGO Mindstorms activities. Vedvik is a dedicated husband and father of two daughters. The Vedvik home is filled with laughter and music, and playing board games is a popular pastime.
