As founder and president of Engenium Group, Brandon Harwick specializes in the sophisticated and challenging engineering solutions with a focus on sustainable design. He’s passionate about sustainability and energy efficiency not only in building design, but in his personal life as well. In 2010, Harwick was recognized as one of the Top 5 New Faces in Engineering by ASHRAE. In 2011, he led the engineering design for the winning Metropolis Next Generation design competition. And in 2012, he engineered a solar-powered milk-chilling system for rural India, which has been awarded the National Sustainability Award by CleanTech Open. Harwick’s work and leadership on the King Abdullah University of Science & Technology project in Saudi Arabia was certified LEED Platinum. The more than 2-million-sq-ft project consisting of a laboratory and various support spaces was completed in less than 3 years. But there’s more to Harwick than meets the eye. He’s devoted much of his free time to the D.C. Cowboys, a non-profit dance company that supports and provides free entertainment to HIV/AIDS charitable service organizations. As a volunteer performer, Harwick was a finalist on “America’s Got Talent” season 3 and has danced around the world as a member of the group.
