Recent promotions and hires

Glendale Heights, Ill-based Moisture Control Services announced that Steve Boyce has been named western regional sales manager. Boyce will be responsible for building and executing a business and marketing strategy in the western region of the United States with a focus on the property damage and document restoration segments.

Chicago-based Schreder Lighting USA appointed Tim Grygera, LEED AP , as western regional sales manager. Grygera will work closely with lighting specifiers, designers, engineers, electrical contractors, and architects in the west to develop viable exterior lighting solutions.

Tim Staley, PE, LEED AP , vice president of Comfort Systems USA Energy Services , was appointed as the regional representative Southeast for the Building Commissioning Assn (BCA). Staley will act as a liaison between the Southeast Regional Chapter of the BCA and the National Board of Directors.

La Crosse, Wis.-based Michaels Engineering announced the addition of new energy efficiency division team member David Werner, LEED AP .

Englewood, Colo.-based CH2M Hill announced the passing of its long-time CEO Ralph R. Peterson . From 1991 through 2008, Peterson served as the CH2M Hill’s CEO. Peterson helped expand the company to more than 25,000 employees and delivering engineering, construction, program management, operations, and maintenance services in 84 countries. Revenue grew from $400 million (U.S.) in 1991 to $6.4 billion (U.S.) in 2008.

Milwaukee-based Danfoss Drives named Richard Hatcher as vice president HVAC sales . Hatcher will be responsible for all North American sales of HVAC&R variable frequency drive products.

Evanston, Ill.-based Grumman/Butkus Assocs . announced that John Tsingas, PE, LEED AP , has been promoted to associate vice president in the Evanston, Ill. office.

Boston-based Cannon design announced that Michael Tillou, PE, LEED AP , has joined the firm as associate vice president and will serve as leader of the firm’s energy services group . Tillou has more than 15 years of experience and is currently serving as a member on the ASHRAE Standard 90.1 committee.

Detroit-based Albert Kahn Family of Companies announced the appointment of Charles T. Robinson, PE, LEED AP , to the position of president. Robinson has more than 35 years of experience in the field and will be responsible for ensuring that the firm’s client issues are effectively addressed and overall project performance meets or exceeds client expectations.
