Malcolm Pirnie Inc., White Plains, N.Y., announced that seven senior associates have been named vice presidents: James Albu, PE, BCEE, works in the firm’s Phoenix office and manages the delivery of a range of water resources projects; James C. Brown II, PE, works in the firm’s White Plains headquarters and is responsible for the firm’s construction services work; also in White Plains, James Callahan, PE , manages the Building Design Services department and Patricia O’Loughlin, PE, BCEE , is responsible for the delivery of wastewater projects to municipal clients throughout the northeast; Jerry Jones oversees the delivery environmental services to the municipal, federal, and industrial clients from the firm’s Birmingham, Ala., office; in the Emeryville, Calif., office, Stephen Hayashi directs Red Oak Consulting, a division of Pirnie focused on managing and information technology consulting; and in Buffalo, N.Y., Kent McManus, PE, BCEE , is responsible for the delivery of environmental services to municipal, federal, and industrial clients throughout the central region offices of the firm. Fred Schreiber, PE , joined Hubbell, Roth & Clark Inc ., Bloomfield Hills, Mich., as senior project engineer in the Structural Dept., bringing 30 years of professional structural engineering and project management experience to the firm. Michael Sufnarski, PE , has been appointed Charlotte, N.C.,office manager for MACTEC Inc ., Alpharetta, Ga. In addition, the firm’s Facility Lifecycle Group, has Spectrum Engineers , Salt Lake City, ranks 35thin the nation for total design service revenue in Electrical Construction & Maintenance magazine’s 2008 Top 40 Electrical Design Firms survey. This is an increase over the firm’s 2007 ranking of 38. SmithGroup , Detroit, promoted Andrea Reynolds, PE, SE , to structural discipline director of the firm’s Detroit office. Reynolds joined the firm in 1996. The Cadmus Group Inc. , Watertown, Mass., an environmental and energy consulting firm acquired Portland, Ore.-based analytics consultancy Quantec LLC. CH2M HILL, Denver,completed the acquisition of Goldston Engineering Inc ., Corpus Christi, Texas. John Reuteman joined Michaels Engineering, La Crosse, Wis., as an Indoor Air Quality team member. Cubellis , Boston, merged with Design Collaborative Inc., New Rochelle, N.Y. HDR Engineering Inc., Omaha, Neb., acquired Claunch & Miller Inc., Houston, Stantec , Edmonton, Alberta, signed a letter of intent to acquire McIntosh Engineering, NorthBay, Ontario.
