Eaton’s Freedom Arc-Resistant motor control center (MCC) is designed to contain arc blast energy should an arc flash be triggered. The Freedom MCC is built without exhaust channels or roof flaps and is designed so as it doesn’t need additional clearance or venting ductwork above the assembly, simplifying installation. All doors are constructed from 12-gauge steel and secured with hinges and latches. 4-in. sections are added to the first and last structures to increase the structural integrity of the MCC and enhance personnel safety. The MCC also includes insulated horizontal and vertical buses, as well as isolation barriers between adjacent structures.
