Loves Park, IL— Danfoss Drives recently launched its MCD 200 Series compact soft starters, which offer advanced heat dissipation, eliminating the need for extra ventilation or bypass connectors, while simplifying installation and minimizing panel space requirements.

MCD 200 Series covers the 7.5 kW to 110 kW (10 HP to 150 HP) power range. Add-on modules provide additional capabilities, including serial communication and the ability to remotely control and monitor motor performance.

For basic applications, the MCD 201 model offers timing voltage ramp functionality. For more demanding applications, the advanced MCD 202 model provides current limit soft start, timed voltage ramp down and advanced motor protection.

Danfoss Drives is a leading global producer of precision mechanical and electrical components, with locations in more than 120 countries. The company reportedly introduced the world’s first mass-produced AFD in 1968, and have set the standard for motion control ever since.
