Control System Integrators Association’s annual executive conference, for CSIA members or anyone interested in control system integration, is April 25-28, in Scottsdale, Ariz. Built around the theme, "Capture Success," the conference will help attendees, "Continually striving to improve company operations in the world of industrial automation — an industry that keeps our world advancing and makes products affordable, available and sustainable to societies in all corners of the world," said Robert Lowe, CSIA executive director.

The three-day Executive Conference is "packed with sessions that will enhance your business knowledge and give you tools you can apply to your company as soon as you get home. You’ll also have ample time to network with executive and management peers from around the world. You’ll share ideas, discuss what’s going well (and not-so-well) and build relationships, both personal and professional. Pack your business cards and sunscreen (cowboy boots optional) and get ready to round up some know-how and business connections that will help you capture success for your company" Lowe said.

Economist Alan Beaulieu predicts the U.S. economy will recover, despite economic turbulence in the European Union, political unrest in the Middle East, and rising fuel prices and pre-election jitters at home. “Escalating oil prices could indeed push consumers and businesses into a recession, but not this time,” Beaulieu predicts. “Should the worst case scenario happen and Iran stop the flow of oil exports, other regions are likely to pick up the slack in terms of supply. Oil prices will go up, but probably not to the point of bringing on a recession either here or in Europe.” A well-known trend analyst and the president of the Institute for Trend Research, Beaulieu will dispel listeners’ uncertainty about the worldwide economy and set forth strategy and tactics for recovery in the keynote address at the 2012 Executive Conference.

Also at the conference, Michael Allosso, a professional director, actor and executive coach, will share ways for improving communications in his address, “You on Your Best Day.”

A new version of the CSIA Best Practices and Benchmarks Manual will make its debut at the conference. Also planned is an industry expo with more than 50 companies showcasing new products and applications.

The conference is expected to assemble more than 400 control system integrators and vendor partners from the United States, Canada, Latin America and abroad at the Talking Stick Resort, Scottsdale, Ariz.
