Consulting-Specifying Engineer (CSE) is pleased to welcome a new member to our Editorial Advisory Board Siva Haran, PE, LC, LEED AP, is an electrical and lighting consultant based in the Chicago area.

An architect and engineer by education, Haran has more than 20 years of experience in designing lighting and electrical system for commercial, institutional, light industrial, and residential projects.

A Certified Lighting Designer, Haran serves as an instructor for continuing education courses for the IES Chicago Chapter and the Consulting Electrical Engineers division of Electric Assn. of Chicago. Additionally, Haran is an advisory member of IESNA’s Sustainable Lighting Committee.

Haran’s recent contributions to CSE include participating in the January 2010 MEP Roundtable, “Green-lighting energy efficiency,” and writing the August 2009 Green Space column, “Lighting less to achieve net zero.”
