Design firm, Stantec (Edmonton, Canada) plans to acquire the engineering assets of Dessau (Montreal, Canada), which will include 1,300 employees from 20 offices. The transaction is expected to close in Q1 of 2015. Link to details

National engineering and design firm, Olsson Associates (Lincoln, NE) announced its intent to acquire Ochsner Hare & Hare (OHH) (Kansas City, MO), a planning and landscape architecture design firm. OHH is expected to join Olsson officially on November 21. Link to details

BIG RED DOG (Austin, TX) has agreed to acquire Johnson Consulting Engineers (Austin, TX), a MEP engineering firm. BIG RED DOG is a civil and MEP engineering firm specializing in engineering design, permitting, and land use consulting for real estate and natural resource development projects. Link to details

Engineering and architectural services firm, Ayres Associates (Eau Claire, WI) acquired Frisbie Architects (River Falls, WI). The acquisition more than doubles Ayres’ architectural staff. Link to details

Mott MacDonald (Surrey, UK) has acquired its UK water industry design and build joint venture partner Bentley Holdings (Skipton, UK), including its subsidiary company JN Bentley.
