Hospitality Market Sector Leader, exp US Services, Maitland, Fla.

Kansas State University, BS Architectural Engineering

Watching his father, a general contractor, at a young age sparked Christopher Kearney’s love for engineering and helped him understand how design and construction come together. Now a market sector leader, he is passing his love of building and design to his young sons through constructing Mega Blok towers and farms together. Combining his building design and account executive experience, Kearney has managed large-scale projects with notable clients such as Trump International, Tavistock, Viceroy, Starwood, and Mandarin Oriental. And several of the projects he’s been involved with have garnered industry praise, including the ENR’s Southeast Construction magazine’s 2010 Award of Excellence for The Ritz-Carlton, Charlotte, N.C., in the Green Building category, and the Hilton and Waldorf Astoria Bonnet Creek Resort in Orlando, Fla., in the Multi-Family Residential/Hospitality category. Along with building design, Kearney has a passion for sustainability. He uses his expertise to reduce energy consumption and increase indoor air quality while having a positive impact on the building’s bottom line. Although his work sometimes warrants long hours and significant travel, Kearney still takes time to coach his sons’ baseball and T-ball teams, as well as travel with his wife and sons across the country, including camping trips up the East Coast and a recent trip to Aruba.
