The Grumman/Butkus Associates 2015 Hospital Benchmarking Survey has been released. Hospitals’ energy costs per square foot have fluctuated greatly since 1999. Energy use intensity (Btu/sq ft/year) fell in 2014 after a fairly sharp rise in 2013, probably due to a somewhat milder winter in 2013-14 versus 2012-13.
