Energy, water resources, and environmental consulting and engineering firm Apex Companies, LLC (Rockville, MD) (ENR #116) acquired ALTUS Environmental (Boulder, CO), a multi-disciplinary environmental and engineering consulting firm that provides compliance, geologic, and professional engineering services. Global engineering and professional services firm WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff (Montreal, Canada) (ENR #16) acquired Halvorson and Partners (Chicago, IL). Halvorson provides structural engineering services for developers, private owners, and institutions worldwide. Link to details
Leading international design firm Stantec (Edmonton, Canada) (ENR #19) acquired VA Consulting (Irvine, CA), a community development, transportation, and water engineering firm serving clients throughout Southern California’s Orange County, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Inland Empire regions, as well as the greater Phoenix area. Modjeski and Masters (M&M) (Mechanicsburg, PA) (ENR #260) acquired Summit Engineering Group (Littleton, CO), a structural engineering firm that specializes in segmental concrete bridge design and construction. M&M is one of the world’s leading bridge engineering firms. Link to details
Geospatial mapping firm Independent Mapping Consultants (Charlotte, NC) acquired Carolina Resource Mapping (CRM) (Wilmington, NC). Cannon Moss Brygger Architects (CMBA) (Sioux City, IA) and Architects Smith Metzger (ASM) (Des Moines, IA) announced that CMBA has acquired ASM. The acquisition of ASM, known predominantly for its collegiate experience, builds on CMBA’s strong education focus. Link to details
