This week Morrissey Goodale reported three deals in the United States from companies in Maryland, Ohio, New York, California, and Idaho.

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) (Sparks, MD) announced that the engineering design and bridge inspection divisions of Barr & Prevost (Columbus, OH) has joined the firm. Other Barr & Prevost disciplines, such as geotechnical, survey, and drilling services, are separate to the merger and will now be provided under the name Barr Engineering. Link to details

International design and architecture firm, Perkins Eastman (New York, NY) and Lee, Burkhart, Liu (LBL Architects) (Los Angeles, CA) announced the intent to merge their practices. The merger is planned to be effective January 1, 2015. Link to details

Engineering and consulting firm, Jacobs Associates (San Francisco, CA) and McMillen (Boise, ID) announced that the two firms intend to merge. McMillen is an engineering and construction firm focused on the hydroelectric infrastructure and water resources industries. Link to details
