This week Morrissey Goodale reported four deals in the United States and five international deal involving companies from the United Kingdom, Canada, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Singapore.

Leading engineering, consulting, and construction services firm, The Burns Group (Philadelphia, PA) acquired Orth-Rodgers & Associates, Inc. (ORA) (Newtown Square, PA), an award-winning engineering and planning firm specializing in highway, bridge and traffic engineering, environmental services, and public involvement. ORA serves a variety of public and private clients including state departments of transportation, municipal and county government, and private developers. COWI (Lyngby, Denmark) acquired Donaldson Associates (Uttoxeter, UK), a consulting company known for delivering high-end geotechnical design as well as tunnel and underground engineering services. Kane and Johnson Architects (Rochester, MN) merged with Widseth Smith Nolting (Crookston, MN), a multi-disciplined firm with experts in civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering, architecture, landscape architecture, land surveying, environmental services, and water resources. Natural and built asset design and consultancy firm, ARCADIS (Amsterdam, Netherlands) acquired Franz Environmental (Mississauga, Canada), a firm with specialized expertise in environmental remediation, site assessments, brownfields, and hydrogeology. Link to details

IBI Group agreed to sell the Quebec assets and operations of IBI/DAA Group, CHB-IBI Group, Martin, Marcotte/Beinhaker Architects, and related entities (Toronto, Canada) to Services Intégrés Lemay & Associés (Lemay) (Montreal, Canada). IBI Group also sold a 30 percent equity interest in IBI Group Urban Consultant to Lemay and a 19 percent equity interest to Daniel Arbour. Link to details
