This week Morrissey Goodale reported two deals in the United States and four international deals involving companies from the U.S., Canada, and the United Kingdom.
International design firm, Stantec (Edmonton, Canada) (ENR #19) acquired KBR’s Infrastructure Americas division (Houston, TX). KBR is ENR’s #12 ranked top design firm and their Infrastructure Americas division will enhance Stantec’s infrastructure design capabilities in the Gulf Region with the addition of 180 professionals. Provider of environmental, facilities, geotechnical, and materials engineering services, Terracon (Olathe, KS) (ENR #35) acquired NORCAL Geophysical Consultants (Cotati, CA). NORCAL offers geophysical technologies in support of geologic, groundwater, environmental, and engineering investigations. Link to details
Transportation engineering, planning, and construction firm, Lochner (Chicago, IL) (ENR #136) acquired Crossland Acquisition (Houston, TX), a firm specializing in right of way acquisitions and services. Link to details
Strum Consulting (Bedford, Canada) acquired Mac Williams Engineering (Halifax, Canada), a 7-person firm that provides land development civil engineering and design. Strum Consulting is an engineering, survey, and environmental services firm with 50 employees. Link to details
WYG (Leeds, UK) acquired North Associates Limited (Carlisle, UK) to expand its asset management and planning offering across Northern England and Scotland. North Associates is an asset management consultancy serving commercial developers, public sector bodies, and regional landowners. Link to details
Multi-disciplinary firm serving mostly transportation and mining clients, TBT Engineering Consulting Group (Thunder Bay, Canada) announced Profor Engineering (Thunder Bay, Canada) will be joining its team. Profor brings mechanical and electrical engineering expertise. Link to details
