Weekly merger, acquisition, deal update: November 22

This week Morrissey Goodale reported nine deals in the U.S. and five international deals involving companies from Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

NOV 2019: Industry leader Atlas Technical Consultants (Austin, TX) signed an agreement to acquire civil and transportation engineering firm Long Engineering (Atlanta, GA). The acquisition will further strengthen Atlas’ operational footprint and deepen key client relationships throughout the Southeast.  Link to details


Full-service civil design firm DBS & Associates Engineering (Clarksville, TN) announced its pending merger with TTL, Inc. (Tuscaloosa, AL). TTL serves clients across the country in the energy, transportation, industrial, institutional, commercial, government, and water/wastewater markets.  Link to details
Architectural design firm Arcline Studio (Roswell, GA) acquired Arie Kohn Architects (Roswell, GA) creating full-service architecture firm AKA Studio.  Link to details
TRC Companies (Lowell, MA) (ENR #20), a leading technology-enabled provider of end-to-end engineering, consulting and construction management solutions, expanded its utility services capabilities with the acquisition of Lockheed Martin Distributed Energy Solutions (Rockville, MD).  Link to details
PS&S (Warren, NJ) (ENR #334), a full-service AE design and environmental firm, acquired DW Smith Associates (Wall Township, NJ), a multi-discipline professional design and engineering consulting firm.  Link to details
RMS Engineers (Richardson, TX) joined industry-leading facilities planning and design firm Salas O’Brien (Santa Ana, CA) (ENR #188), creating a combined firm with 26 offices and more than 675 employee-owners.  Link to details
Spiezle Architectural Group (Trenton, NJ), an employee-owned, full-service architectural, interior design, landscape architecture, and planning firm, acquired architecture, interiors, and urban design firm City Invincible (Camden, NJ).  Link to details
Holzman Moss Bottino Architecture (New York, NY) joined forces with international design, architecture, and planning firm Steinberg Hart (Los Angeles, CA) (ENR #375).
