Weekly merger, acquisition, deal update: November 17
This week Morrissey Goodale reported four deals in the U.S. and one international deal involving two companies from Canada.
Private equity firm, Kingswood Capital Management (Los Angeles, CA), acquired Versar (Springfield, VA), ENR’s #124 ranked environmental firm. With the acquisition, Kingswood expects to decrease Versar’s costs of operation while increasing flexibility and speed of decision making. Link to details
Multi-disciplined professional consulting and design firm, H2M architects + engineers (Melville, NY) (ENR #233), acquired Schommer Engineering (Morristown, NJ), a civil engineering, planning, environmental studies, and landscape architecture firm. Link to details
Moseley Architects (Richmond, VA) and Marks Thomas (Morristown, NJ) merged. Marks Thomas is a woman-owned architecture firm that is recognized for providing planning, architecture, interior design, and sustainability services to clients along the east coast. Link to details
Oculus (St. Louis, MO) acquired Staicoff Design Company (Portland, OR), a hospitality interior design firm. Oculus is a full-service architectural, strategic facility planning, interior design, and move management firm. Link to details
