This week Morrissey Goodale reported three deals in the United States involving companies from Virginia, Texas, Ohio, and Michigan as well as an international deal involving companies from the United Kingdom and Illinois.

Huntington Ingalls Industries (Newport News, VA), a designer and builder of ships for the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard, has entered into an agreement to acquire UniversalPegasus International (UPI) (Houston, TX), a 1,500-person provider of engineering and project management services to the energy industry. Global energy and infrastructure consultancy RPS Group (Abingdon, UK) acquired environmental consultancy GaiaTech Holdings ("GT") (Chicago, IL). GT’s 85 employees provide a broad range of environmental, scientific and engineering services, primarily to the U.S. industrial sector. Link to details

Civil Engineering Consultants (CEC) (San Antonio, TX) acquired Acuity 3D Imaging (Spring Branch, TX), a provider of 3D laser scanning services. Acuity’s founder, Greg Smith, P.E., will manage CEC’s newly formed Geomatics | BIM | 3D Laser Scanning Division. Link to details
