Weekly merger, acquisition, deal update: December 22
This week Morrissey Goodale reported three deals in the U.S. and three international deals involving companies from France, Canada, Sweden, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
McDermott International (Houston, TX) and CB&I (The Woodlands, TX) (ENR #6) agreed to combine in an all-stock transaction to create a premier fully vertically integrated onshore-offshore company, with a broad engineering, procurement, construction and installation service offering and market leading technology portfolio. ECS (Chantilly, VA) (ENR #81) acquired River Valley Testing Corporation (Green Bay, WI), a firm that specializes in geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and environmental engineering. Link to details
Legat Kingscott (Columbus, OH) has transitioned to a fully-integrated studio of Legat Architects (Chicago, IL). Legat Kingscott was founded in 2001, when Legat Architects and Kingscott Associates (Kalamazoo, MI) opened a small Columbus studio to serve the pre K-12 and higher education markets. Link to details
ENR’s #94-ranked global design firm, Assystem (Paris, France), acquired Euro Contrôle Projet (Aix-en-Provence, France), a project management firm that serves the defense, transportation, oil and gas, and chemicals sectors. Link to details
Associated Engineering (Edmonton, Canada) acquired NOR-EX Engineering (Kamloops, Canada), an ice engineering, environmental program management, disaster recovery planning, and project management support firm. Link to details
ENR’s #21-ranked global design firm, Sweco (Stockholm, Sweden), acquired HaskoningDHV Belgium (Mechelen, Belgium) from Royal HaskoningDHV (Amersfoort, Netherlands). HaskoningDHV Belgium offers soil investigation and decontamination, environmental impact assessment, and integrated area development services. Link to details
