This week Morrissey Goodale reported five deals in the United States and four international deals involving companies from the United Kingdom, Australia, and Canada.

Employee-owned, full-service engineering consulting firm, CP&Y (Dallas, TX) acquired The Wallace Group (Waco, TX), an engineering, architectural, survey, and subsurface utility engineering firm. The Wallace Group is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of CP&Y and will operate as The Wallace Group, a CP&Y company. Link to details

Ayres Associates (Eau Claire, WI) and SAA Design Group (Madison, WI) have entered into a letter of intent for Ayres to acquire SAA. The acquisition is scheduled to be completed in early 2015. Link to details

CannonDesign (Grand Island, NY) joined forces with Astorino (Pittsburgh, PA), a full service architecture, engineering, and construction company. The merger creates a design-led design-build division to be led from the Pittsburgh office. Link to details

A leading provider of forensic engineering services to the insurance claims industry, PT&C Forensics (Atlanta, GA) acquired LWG Consulting (Northbrook, IL), a global forensic engineering firm. Link to details

Driver Group (Haslingden, UK) bought Initiate Consulting (London, UK), a provider of development, project, and construction management services. The deal allows Driver to provide development and project management services on aviation, highway and rail projects across the UK. Link to details

Two mechanical and electrical engineering firms, MCW Group of Companies (Vancouver, Canada) and Hemisphere Engineering (Edmonton, Canada) announced they are in late-stage negotiations to form a new engineering entity. The deal is expected to be finalized by mid-January 2015 and Hemisphere Engineering will be known as MCW Hemisphere. Link to details
