This week Morrissey Goodale reported one domestic deal and three international deals involving companies from the U.S., Canada, and Belgium.
Leading international design firm, Stantec (Edmonton, Canada) (ENR #19) signed a letter of intent to acquire Fay, Spofford & Thorndike (Burlington, MA) (ENR #247), an engineering, planning, and environmental firm. Link to details
WSP Global (Montreal, Canada) (ENR #16) entered into an agreement to acquire 2,000-person MMM Group (Thornhill, Canada). MMM is recognized for its expertise in transportation, infrastructure & environment, and buildings, its three main operating segments. Link to details
Architecture and planning firm, KTGY Group (Irvine, CA) merged with PPK Architects (Glen Ellyn, IL). PPK designs commercial and residential projects in the Midwest. Link to details
Eurofins Scientific (Brussels, Belgium) plans to buy troubled environmental firm Spectrum Analytical (Agawam, MA), out of bankruptcy and retain its employees. Eurofins is the world leader in food and pharmaceutical products testing and number one in the world in the field of environmental laboratory services. Link to details
