ASHRAE’s Epidemic Task Force (ETF) has distributed a lot of guidance to help owners, engineers, and operators to help their buildings in the age of COVID-19. The Building Readiness Guidance provides information on evaluating your existing systems and evaluating them for potential improvements to minimize virus transmission. This reduction in the risk of infection will be balanced with energy costs.
This session will start with highlighting the core recommendations of the ETF and move into an overview of the information in the Building Reopening guidance with regard to systems evaluation and mitigation strategies. We will review real-world examples of evaluation for K-12 and college campuses. Finally, we will discuss a case study of the IAQ pathway for a large university campus.
