Vanderweil Engineers names associate principal
Robert Bucey, a mechanical engineer with 20 years of experience with healthcare, government, and research facilities, will work from the company's Boston office.
Vanderweil Engineers has announced that Robert Bucey, PE, CEM, LEED AP BD+C, a mechanical engineer with more than 20 years of experience in building systems design and project management, has joined the firm as an associate principal. Bucey has an extensive background in engineering for research, healthcare and government facilities, and in the design and implementation of commissioning and energy programs. He has joined Vanderweil’s national commissioning practice and will work from the Boston office.
Bucey holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell. He is a frequent speaker on trends and best practices in building systems commissioning and high performance laboratory engineering. Bucey is a 2010 recipient of the “You Make It Happen” Award from the IFMA Boston chapter in recognition of his service to the IFMA chapter that goes above and beyond expectations, and makes a substantial impact on the membership and success of the organization.
Bucey is a member of ASHRAE; American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE); National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES); Association of Energy Engineers; and International Facility Management Association (IFMA).
