The ability to share computer-aided drawings on-line has had a significant positive influence on business, concludes a recent survey conducted by Thomas Register, a New York-based publishing firm.
According to the survey, 48% of respondants ranked the productivity impact of online CAD drawings as “very significant,” and 39% described the impact as “somewhat significant.”
The study also noted the growing impact of CAD. For example, in 2002, online CAD is saving engineers and architects an average of 17 hours a month, as compared to 2000, when it saved designers 12 hours per month.
