TAC becomes Schneider Electric
Building automation and security company TAC will take on Schneider Electric's name in October.
Building automation and security company TAC will soon be placed under the umbrella of energy management specialist Schneider Electric . The move will officially take place in October.
Schneider has been TAC’s parent company since 2003, but the move places Schneider’s name and logo on TAC. As a singular brand, Schneider Electric hopes to provide customers with solutions to energy-management problems, allowing users to be more energy-efficient. TAC will contribute expertise on the management of energy and security within buildings.
According to a company press release , the merger will allow Schneider to create a more global presence in the energy-efficiency community. Currently, solutions created by Schneider have addressed more than 70% of the world’s energy consumption in infrastructure, industrial processes, building systems and services, and data centers/networks.
