Scholarships awarded to fire safety students by NFPA

The National Fire Protection Association Fire Safety Educational Memorial Fund awarded four students scholarships based on their academic achievement, leadership abilities, contributions to fire safety activities and pursuit of careers in fire safety.

The National Fire Protection Association Fire Safety Educational Memorial Fund awarded four students scholarships based on their academic achievement, leadership abilities, contributions to fire safety activities and pursuit of careers in fire safety.

Nicholas Eschner, Oklahoma State University, received the George D. Miller Scholarship. Stephen Petit, University of Maryland, received the John L. Jablonsky Scholarship. Daniel Nilsson, Lund University, Sweden, received the David B. Gratz Scholarship. Allison Carey, University of Maryland, received the Arthur E. Cote Scholarship. A committee appointed by the NFPA Board of Directors administers the Memorial Fund and each scholarship awarded is worth $5,000.
