Annotated hyperlinks to an extensive body of government and institutional programs, statistics, and other resources for combatting workplace and school violence.

By Michael Ivanovich November 20, 2009

In the aftermath of the Ft. Hood Massacre and a fatal shooting an an Orlando engineering firm, Consulting-Specifying Engineer chief editor Michael Ivanovich published an annotated bibliography of articles that CSE has published on mass notification systems, a magazine editorial, Another Day, Another Lone Gunman, and a blog post, Reducing violence in the workplace and schools. The blog post is an annotated bibliography of institutional programs, statistics, and other resources pertaining to workplace violence and school shootings. Because a lot of information on the Web is dated or has broken links, Ivanovich provided the bibliography because he wants readers to have access to timely, original sources with unbiased context. Among the links are the relevant pages and reports within the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), FEMA, and lists of various mass shootings on schools, shopping malls, and workplaces.
